MEET
DR. PLAY
Nationally
known as "Dr. Play," HOWARD PAPUSH uses his unique communication
and facilitation skills to teach organizations how to build a binding
sense of group harmony and community. He also helps people get more
in touch with their creative souls and provides individuals with
tools to aid them in managing their stress levels.
He
is a former broadcasting executive who, for more than 25 years,
worked closely with some of the most famous personalities in the
history of the television industry. They include Johnny Carson,
Barbara Walters, Ralph Edwards, Dick Clark, Allen Funt, and "Howdy
Doody."
However,
long before his television days, he
developed his playful style with both children and adults as a camp
counselor, sports coach, theater director, dance
instructor, and neighborhood organizer. He has always had an innate
ability to motivate and teach diverse groups of people, and to create
trusting environments. This allows individuals to have a joyful
experience of cooperative group play.
He
earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Speech and Communications from
Queens College of the City University of New York. While an undergraduate
he held the title of Director of Student Activities, and was selected
for inclusion in the national publication, Who's Who Among Students
In American Colleges And Universities.
His
own personal play activities include: Fantasy Baseball, Crossword
Puzzles, Building Castles with his Set of Wooden Blocks, Hosting
Game Parties for his friends, Attending Films and Theater, and Growing
Indoor Plants.
